Graduation 2018, let's be having you!

It's not about the billowy gown or the jaunty hat, or even the essays you've written or the tests you've taken. It's about the tears and the laughter and the deviations. It's not about taking the easy road, but rather keeping the road in sight when life gets rough. It's the lessons you've learnt and the mentors who have guided you. It's the hands you've held and the women you've supported, cared for, loved. It's the families you've helped and the babies you've placed in waiting arms. It's the exhaustion, frustration, elation. It's looking after and being looked after. It's realising there are worse places to be than snuggled on the sofa with the two blondies who have been with you every step of the way. It's the opportunities you've been given and those you've created for yourself. It's not about the wrong people not loving you enough, it's letting the right people love you just as you are. It's about the friends who catch you even before you fall, because they know. It's taking a day out of everyday life to be proud of everything you've achieved. It's being thankful for the incredibly strong, fiercely intelligent, insanely hilarious and truly remarkable women in your life. It's about the tribe you've made and never letting go of them.
